Philanthropy Engagement Program Manager

Position Mission

As a member of the Philanthropy Engagement team within the Mission Development department, The Philanthropy Engagement Program Manager plays a critical role in the transformation of FOCUS benefactors. The main emphasis of this position is to support the team in stewarding caseloads of national benefactors (geographically assigned) and ongoing lists of Missionary Mission Partners. The Program Manager will do so through proactive and persistent communication, an attitude of service, availability, and prioritization of tasks in order to meet deadlines. Ultimately, we want all FOCUS Supporters to say, “No one cares for me and engages me in mission more than FOCUS does.” 

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage spreadsheets for Mission Partner Engagement Program, including uploading content, communication with missionaries, and ensuring that Officers have the information they need for outreach
  • Manage spreadsheets used for tracking key Philanthropy Engagement efforts and daily progress towards goal
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with campus missionaries to gather stories and prayer requests for MD Communications (May also assist in newsletter creation)
  • Monitor gifts that are received nationally and promptly assign calls to Officers, following up as needed to ensure calls are being made
  • Upload Officers’ actions from fundraising work into database
  • Assist Officers with administrative needs such as expense reports, ordering supplies, arranging travel for trips, etc.
  • Take notes at team meetings, distribution of action items and follow up to ensure completion
  • Communicate with FOCUS Share Program and distribute lists for Officers to call
  • Manage the DSC Wednesday Callers program through spreadsheets, communication with DSC staff, and uploading actions from Smartsheet into fundraising database
  • Assist overall department with Giving Days and other administrative needs that may arise 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative or fundraising experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with Smartsheets and fundraising databases a plus
  • Experience in customer service a plus
