Position Mission

The Sr. Manager of MPD plays a critical leadership role in supporting the mission by leading and managing a team of MPD Specialists, ensuring high-quality MPD training, accompanying missionaries in their MPD journey, and fostering collaboration through cross-departmental partnerships. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on coaching and mentorship, a strong knowledge of MPD principles, and a deep commitment to the mission.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage MPD Specialists:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of MPD specialists.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins to ensure alignment with goals, provide feedback, and offer professional development.
    • Set clear team objectives, monitor progress, and report results to Director of MPD.
    • Create a collaborative, mission-aligned team culture focused on excellence and accountability.
  • Coordinate MPD training at New Staff Training (NST) and for Denver Support Center (DSC) missionaries, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and MPD philosophy.
  • Oversee logistics and curriculum development for all MPD training events (including onboarding).
  • MPD accompaniment and coaching - provide directly to missionaries and manage others as they coach missionaries.
  • MPD Liaison for cross-departmental relationships within all areas of the apostolate. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fruitful missionary experience
  • Supervisory experience (TD preferred)
  • Personal MPD success – support raising and mission partner cultivation
  • Experience coaching MPD

Compensation & Benefits

For this role, we anticipate paying $75,000 - $90,000/year. This range is an estimate. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the provided range and will be adjusted based on various factors including qualifications, experience, abilities, geographic location, and duties.

Personal Mission Partner Development (MPD) is one way in which FOCUS invites others to be on mission with us through the gift of their financial support. In this position, the POSITION will be expected to fundraise a minimum of $3,260 per month to support their work with FOCUS.
