Sr. Communications Manager, Mission Development

Location: Golden, CO preferred

Position Mission

The Sr. Communications Manager will provide critical oversight to important fundraising functions, especially in engagement of benefactors at the lower-mid tier levels. As the FOCUS benefactor base continues to expand, strengthening a strategic and comprehensive mass communications effort will increase donor renewal and connection to the mission of FOCUS. In addition, this position will strategically focus direct response efforts to increase returns. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a targeted and intentional Benefactor Communications calendar
  • Manage benefactor communications team and review written communications to ensure effectiveness
  • Oversee Direct Response to achieve annual revenue targets
  • Develop and execute special annual giving efforts, such as giving days or monthly giving club

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of development experience or staff leadership with FOCUS preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Direct Mail experience preferred
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Management experience and strength in team building
