Position Mission

The FOCUS Marketing team supports the mission of FOCUS by communicating with students, benefactors, staff, and others about the need and mission. The Web Designer and Email Campaign Coordinator is an entry-level professional designer who assists with website design and development for assigned portions of FOCUS websites, helping to make the mission known and accessible. This specialist further assists with content management and usability testing.

Position Responsibilities

  • Makes adjustments to an established user interface using front-end code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, implementing changes to websites as needed
  • Creates simple graphics, banners, landing pages, and websites 
  • Designs simple layouts for maximum usability
  • Assists in designing complex web-based applications such as e-commerce and content-driven websites
  • Assists with testing and analytics for web pages to ensure conversation optimization, mobile readiness, cross-browser compatibility, and optimal user experience
  • Creates weekly reports on web performance
  • Helps develop and execute email campaigns, verifying that messaging is consistent with department requirements 
  • Contributes to online engagement by responding to posts and managing online feedback


  • Undergraduate degree in Web Development, Coding, or related field 
  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong competency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other coding languages
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects on schedule
  • Ability to travel on occasion
